Muesli with Dried Fruit
Whether cold or hot, most store-bought cereals are packed unnecessarily with simple sugars and other nasty add-ons. Reading those labels can be frustrating...but making your own tasty breakfast is fun and easy! This Swiss-inspired oatmeal combines high protein almonds and quinoa with the natural sugars of cherries and dates so you can start your day off with a clear head, full belly, and light step. Try this muesli cold or hot and with almond milk, coconut milk, or your favorite milk substitute.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup dried cherries
- 1/4 cup medjool dates
- 1/2 cup almonds
- 1 cup gluten-free oats
- 1/2 cup Hemp Seeds
- 1/4 cup puffed amaranth
- 1 cup quinoa flakes
Servings: people
Instructions
- Process the dried cherries in a food processor for a couple of pulses to break them up, or you can chop them on a cutting board.
- Make sure the dates are pitted and chop them into small pieces.
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, mix well, and store in an air-tight container.
- To serve, just add milk (or a milk substitute) to your bowl, or mix with yogurt.
